It has been announced by the State Government that the long-awaited Deer Park Bypass, which was scheduled for opening at the end of 2009 has been brought forward by some six months and is slated to open mid next year.
This toll-free, 9.3km four lane freeway between the Western Ring Road at Sunshine West and the Western Highway at Caroline Springs will significantly reduce the journey between these points by up to 15 minutes during peak periods and no longer will 20 intersections and numerous sets of traffic lights have be negotiated as a result.
Significantly, residents of Eynesbury can enjoy a journey into the CBD with zero traffic lights along the way.
